No other area in all of Spain is blessed with as dense a concentration of "culinary temples" of internationally renowned restaurants as the Bay of Roses is.

"El Bulli" and its brigade headed by the acclaimed chef Ferràn Adrià were awarded the highest ranking by the Michelin guide, and has recently been proclamed as "the Best Cook of the World". El Bulli" is located in one of the scenic coves that mark the coastline of the northern Costa Brava and can be reached by either boat or car from Roses. Several other restaurants are praised by the Michelin guide, some of them star-rated: "Flor de Lys" (centrally located in Roses), Almadraba Park (a short walk from your apartment), La Llar (on the outskirts of Roses) and the Motel Empordà (in Figueres).

Just besides La Madrague we strongly recommend El Mirador, one of the nicest places at the coast for a romantic dinner enjoying the fresh fish of the day or the chef specialties, and, of course, also a perfect place to eat or drink something during the day, due to its wonderful location as a natural balcony just over the beach.

Obviously, there are many other restaurants in and around Roses too catering to a wide range of tastes, offering everything from excellent and affordable local dishes to the more exotic. With fish, seafood and grilled meat being found on virtually every menu!

A few other recomended places are: Glops, the only restaurant in the new part of the port with all its sport installations of Roses.
