The area is particularly attractive for scuba diving and snorkelling, with a protected underwater wildlife reserve around the Medes islands. The equipment for just about every water sport can be hired: from a surfboard to a yacht, everything's available on site.

But sports in Roses rise even higher: hang gliding and paragliding are possible from the Alberes mountain range; the occasional landing on the beach is not excluded either. Skydiving? Why not? First jump courses are taught at the world's largest skydiving centre, only 5 Km. away!

And during the winter months you’re well advised to bring your skis. The slopes in the Pyrenees are only an hour’s drive away. Imagine: skiing hard in the morning – relaxing in the sun on the terrace of your La Madrague apartment in the afternoon! Golf is your game? Two superb 18-hole courses – one of which with a PGA rating – are just around the corner. Tennis? Horseback riding? Well, of course!
